We’re are truly delighted to finally have Tony Law play Queen’s Comedy. This is the fourth attempt to get him here and this ones gonna count. Tony is without a doubt one of our all time favourite comics. Bizarre, but yet genius at the same time. He is truly not to be missed. He will be supported by the wonderful Eleanor Tiernan and resident compere Colin Murphy.
Tony Law
Like a rolling ball of funny with bits flying out of it, Tony Law’s infectious comedy will leave you stranded in a hilarious field of ideas. Half Canadian, half Trinidadian, Tony spent many years developing his unique, scattergun, surreal style and is now established as one of the most exciting headline acts around. His laid back ‘acid-casualty’ approach, combined with scorching jokes and incisive remarks, have endeared him to both live and TV audiences here and abroad.
“Tony Law, the sherpa of stand-up, leads an expedition to undiscovered alpin uplands of laughter” Stewart Lee
“Tony Law takes a highly-enjoyable crap on comedy conventions, and manages to be clever in a way that doesn’t make you want to throttle him” Adam Buxton
Eleanor Tiernan
Eleanor Tiernan is without a doubt one of Ireland’s top female comics. Within just a year of starting stand-up Eleanor was asked to perform in DublinÂ’s Vicar St for the RTE production The Liffey Laughs, and BBCÂ’s One Night Stand. She also played 120 shows as the support act for Tommy TiernanÂ’s Bovinity Tour, playing to over 120,000 people.
